Visit to our University from the Presidency of Strategy and Budget Department

Tolga Balcı, Head of the Department of Education and Culture of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget, and the accompanying delegation received information about the ongoing investments in our University.

 

During the visit, Strategy and Budget Specialists Uğur Avşar and Cihan Cenk Çiçek were also present, along with Tolga Balcı, Head of Education and Culture Department of the Presidency of Strategy and Budget. Firstly, our University Rector Prof. Dr. Visiting Orhan Uzun in his office, the delegation went to the Kutlubey Campus after Ağdacı Campus and made investigations. The construction of the Rectorate Building, the construction of the Central Research Laboratory, the Library Building, the Central Classroom and the only Intelligent Conference Hall of the region, the construction of which has been completed, education-training, research and living areas were visited and information was given about the ongoing and planned investments.

Seeing the most comprehensive "Accessible Living Space" of Turkey, which was built on the Kutlubey Campus of our university with the support of the Western Black Sea Development Agency (BAKKA), Balcı and his entourage emphasized the importance of the facility that will benefit all disabled individuals, their families, special education teachers and students.

During the visit, where attention was drawn to the research dimension as well as the educational and social responsibility dimension of the project, our University Vice-Chancellor and project coordinator Prof. Dr. It was emphasized by Sedat Yazıcı that the project, which is integrated within itself, will provide physical, social and educational opportunities to individuals with disabilities. 

After the examinations at the Kutlubey Campus, the delegation met with the Vice Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. At the meeting attended by Mehmet Zahmakıran and faculty members, he received information about the projects prepared in the field of "Smart Logistics and Integrated Regional Applications" specialization.

Rector Uzun, who stated that important studies have been carried out in our university on the axis of "Sustainable Improvement and Quality", said that contributing to the development of our country, starting from the region, in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders, is their main goal.

Rector Uzun said, “We embarked on a journey in which all our components were involved during the past years, with the slogan 'We Succeed Together'. We have worked non-stop with the goal of sustainable development, and we have succeeded in being a university that not only transmits information, but also produces, in today's world where everything changes very quickly. We have added new successes every day to the successes achieved in this process where we have made a progress to be proud of. Our current goal is to make our performance sustainable and to add to the future with more solid steps. While we train qualified individuals with our competent academic and administrative human resources, we continue to add value to our country's goals with an understanding that prioritizes our region."
