A Current Budget Planning Meeting was held as part of our university's 2026 current budget preparation process. The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Secretary General, was attended by representatives from academic units and officials from relevant departments. During the meeting, the 2025 budget performance was evaluated, and the current budget allocation needs for 2026 were discussed. Discussions focused on the effective, efficient, and economical use of resources in line with the university's strategic plan, performance targets, priority activities, and the 2024/7 austerity measures circular. Procurement of goods and services, travel and maintenance expenses, and current expenditure items supporting education, teaching, and research activities were evaluated in detail. Furthermore, the importance of ensuring fiscal discipline, implementing austerity measures, and sustainability in budget planning was emphasized.
