A "2026 Current Budget Meeting" was held between Bartın University's Strategy Development Department and the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Strategy and Budget Directorate as part of the preparations for the 2026 budget. The meeting was chaired by Bartın University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet AKKAYA, and attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Selçuk GÜMÜŞ, General Secretary Mesut KASAP, and representatives from relevant departments. Esra ÖZGÜR, an expert representing the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey's Strategy and Budget Directorate, also participated. The meeting reviewed key aspects of the 2026 budget proposal, including appropriation requests, investment targets, institutional priorities, and alignment with strategic goals. Detailed data outlining Bartın University's development in education, research, and community service, as well as its resource needs, was also presented. The meeting, conducted within the framework of strengthening the university's institutional capacity, maintaining financial discipline, and ensuring the efficient use of resources, contributed to a transparent and participatory budget process. At the end of the meeting, an assessment was made within the framework of mutual goodwill and cooperation, and a consensus was reached on the roadmap for the 2026 budget process.
